4R Ranch Raised Beef
Our beef is raised in a natural
environment with no hormones. The
cost is $2.50 per pound hanging weight.
This is before the bones and trimmings are removed. The
meat is processed at a local USDA certified butcher.
The butcher will contact you for cutting instructions. If you
need
assistance with the cutting and wrapping of your beef, the
butcher will be more than happy to assist you. You
will pay the butcher for the cutting and wrapping unless
you make arraignments with Mike Rusher for delivery of
your beef. Average
processing time for a beef is 2-3 weeks from time
of slaughter, based on a 14 day dry age hanging time. The
cost of cutting and wrapping is $0.50 per pound for whole
and half a beef. $0.53 per pound for a quarter. This
price is based on
hanging weight. The
average whole beef weight is 650 pounds plus or minus
50 pounds.
Average Costs:
Whole Beef ~ $1,625.00 plus cutting and wrapping
Half Beef ~ $812.50 plus cutting and wrapping
Qtr. Beef ~ $406.25 plus cutting and wrapping
